"Almost 18 months ago, way back in 2006, the Nintendo Wii made its debut in the US, Japan, Europe and Australia and has since gone on to see phenomenal success and break every record in it’s path. South Korea has finally received the news it has been waiting for, as Nintendo of Korea have announced that the Wii will go on sale on April 26.

The Wii will cost 220,000 won (AUD$241, USD$224) while games will cost between 38,000 won (AUD$41) to 48,000 won (AUD$52). Launch titles will include Wii Sports (not included with console), Wii Play, Zack and Wiki, Fifa 2008, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Elebits, Namco Museum Remix, and Pangya Golf 2nd Shot, while Guitar Hero III will be available in May.

Those lucky South Korean gamers will get its own version of the Virtual console, they will only get NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 games but will get reduced prices. That’s right they get their retro games cheaper only having to pay 400 points for a NES game, 600 points for a SNES title and 800 points for N64 games.

Nintendo of Korea has teamed up with Korean actor Won Bin to promote the Wii as seen in the picture above with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata."

According to ONM, they say that the UK release date may be 30th May. It seems reasonal since it is a Friday... *crosses fingers*

I guess it's either that or the rumored/denied 6th June date... or maybe 20th June? Gah! When are they going to conferm the real one? The supense it getting to much...

Just thought of a reason why it's taking so long for the game to come over here.

The game used a double-layer disc and a few Wiis are having problems reading the disc. So maybe they're trying to fix that problem for the PAL release... That's the only real reason I can think of (the other reasons I thought of contradicts with something else)...of cource that doesn't explain why there's a lack of release date...

Well, a week has past since the Smash Bros Dojo has ended. And there's still no PAL release date yet...

I remember all those times I check every morning to see what has been updated. It has been a part of my life.

I would like to say that it's the best website ever but I can't until it tell us the PAL release date...

Too bad that unlike Mario and Sonic at the olympic games, Wario Ware Smooth Moves and Mario Kart Wii, you can't use your miis. Why? I could have used my Mcfly miis or even my own mii to fight.

Yeah, that could be possible. If that's the case, then I hope Nitendo is doing a good job fixing that problem. They'll never give up, never surrender.

Of course, if it get release in May 2nd or 16th May, I would have a rough time spending time with it since I have to perpare a presentation for college. May 30th or June 9th would be more favourable for me.

I do hope that Nintendo had fixed that double layer disc problem for the PAL version. It would be a shame if they didn't.

I think that's what they're doing. Why else would there is a big gap between the US and UK release?

Only less then 2 months to go... In the meantime, Mario Kart Wii and Doctor Who series 4 (as well as erm... assignments) should keep me busy until then.
